"I have yet to find a resource this great — I think this is a must-have for every horse owner." — Hannah, member
Free videos are scattered, unverified, and often taught by people with no formal training. Our content is developed by Natalie Gregg, CEMT and FEI Permitted Equine Therapist, with over a decade of hands-on professional experience and credentials approved by the NCBTMB, the same governing body that certifies human massage therapists.
Everything is organized, progressive, and purpose-built so you're not piecing together information from a dozen different sources. For less than a single coffee per week, you get a structured education you can actually trust and use immediately on your horse. You also gain access to our community of members, and a Q&A forum where your specific questions will be answered.
Absolutely no contracts. Cancel your membership anytime through your account settings, no phone calls, no hoops. You'll keep full access through the end of your current billing period.
We're confident enough in the value that we don't need to trap you. Most members who try it for even one month find themselves learning techniques they use every single week.
Yes — the member portal is fully mobile-friendly and works on any device. Pull up a technique video right in the barn aisle before you start working on your horse. No app download required, just your login at login.theequinecollab.com.
The membership was built specifically for horse owners, not just professionals. Natalie founded The Equine Collaborative because she saw how much horse owners wanted to do more for their horses — but lacked access to reliable, approachable instruction.
You don't need any prior massage experience. The Essentials masterclass starts from the very beginning — safety, reading your horse's responses, basic strokes — and builds from there at a pace you control. If you love your horse and want to help them feel better, you're exactly who this is for.
"If it weren't for the online academy, I wouldn't have been able to work through my horse's back pain. Each technique is easy to learn and so effective." — Lacey, member
Your hands are your most important tool And you already have those. The core massage techniques in the membership require nothing more than clean hands, short fingernails, and a willing horse.
Some advanced techniques (like cupping or gua-sha work covered in our hands-on courses) use specialized tools, but those are not required for the membership content. We'll always let you know when something optional could enhance your practice.
Many members report noticing positive changes in their horse's responsiveness and relaxation within the very first session. Horses are remarkably responsive to skilled touch and you don't need years of practice before your work makes a difference.
That said, deeper issues like chronic back tension or long-standing girthiness take consistent work over weeks. Think of it like physical therapy — one session helps, but a regular routine is where the real transformation happens. We'll show you how to build that routine.
The techniques we teach are very safe massage techniques. They are gentle, non-invasive, and safe for the vast majority of healthy horses when applied correctly. We always recommend you inform your veterinarian that you're incorporating massage into your horse's care routine, and we teach you how to recognize signs that a horse should be seen by a vet rather than massaged.
Our instruction puts a strong emphasis on safety: reading your horse's body language, knowing when to stop, and understanding contraindications. You won't be guessing, we walk you through exactly what to watch for.
*if you are unsure about the safety of massage for your horse (example: chronic illness or lameness) please consult your veterinarian prior to applying our techniques.
Natalie is second generation equine massage therapist, and grew up learning the intricacies of equine anatomy, biomechanics, and massage therapy. It is truly engrained in who she is as a horsewoman.
Additionally, Natalie is a Certified Equine Massage Therapist (CEMT) and FEI Permitted Equine Therapist with over a decade of hands-on professional experience. She is an instructor for Equissage California, one of the largest and most established equine massage programs in the United States.
She has worked with thousands of horses, trained hundreds of professional equine massage therapists, and collaborated with some of the most respected names in the equine industry across California, Florida, and Montana. Her background as a competitive rider means she understands performance horses from the inside out, not just as a therapist, but as a rider who has felt what her horses need.
We hear this a lot, and it's a fair concern. Most online equine courses are either too shallow (generic information you could find anywhere), too expensive (thousands of dollars for a one-time access course), or taught by instructors or social media influencers without verifiable credentials.
Here's what's different here: Natalie teaches the same foundational principles she uses in her professional practice and in her in-person certifications. The content isn't watered down for "just" horse owners. It's the real methodology, presented in a way that's accessible. And at $29/month with the ability to cancel anytime, the risk is essentially zero.
