Equine Massage Certification

  • Bozeman, Montana 59718 USA (map)

Successful completion of this course grants the student a certificate as a “Certified Equine Massage Therapist“ and earns them 45 accredited hours through the NCBTMB.

This course includes an online prerequisite. The Live portion is 5 days and takes place Monday-Friday.

This course is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively apply equine massage therapy on your own horse or on clients' horses. Over the course of the program, you will learn equine anatomy and physiology, the benefits of massage therapy, and a variety of massage techniques to improve circulation, reduce muscle tension, and promote relaxation.

Through hands-on demonstrations and interactive lectures, we allow you to practice your skills in a supportive and encouraging environment. We spend most of our time in the barn with various horses who demonstrate different issues, allowing us to troubleshoot and problem solve together as a class. This environment gives you the opportunity to gain practical experience and refine your techniques.

In addition to massage techniques, this course will cover topics such as assessing and documenting progress, and communication with clients. Upon completion of the course, you will be equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to incorporate equine massage therapy into your own practice or to enhance your understanding and application of equine health and wellness.

This course is suitable for horse owners, trainers, and equine professionals who are interested in improving the health and well-being of their horses.
